Dentist Office Photography

A dentist office photography opportunity knocked at our door and we were excited to take it! I’ve been in a lot of dentist offices in my life (wink, wink), but this was our first time doing dentist office photography. It was so fun! It was nice to be there NOT getting work done on my teeth.

On my earlier visits I had never bothered to look around me. I’ve always treated these check-ups as periodic health necessities that I need to get over with. But yes, I’ve always liked the cushioned semi-sleeper chairs. Every time I’ve secretly wished to fall asleep on them too! Too bad that dental procedures need you to be alert all the time. And if you had a tendency toward cavities, like I do, I sympathize with you. I know the pain.

But I must tell you that my dentists have always been kind and deal with my issues smoothly and efficiently. It’s often faster than what I expect! In my opinion, that’s the best kind of dental treatment. The staff was helpful too, quick to aid and carry out everything efficiently. In fact I remember bringing my son here for a regular check-up once. I felt relieved when I saw the bookshelf at the dental clinic. The staff helped him with a book that caught his eye and kept him occupied while I got finished with my dental cleaning. I really appreciate them for their effort to this day.

So this time I looked around very consciously and with the purpose of getting some dentist office photography done. As a photographer I get amazed every time as I see something familiar with a new perspective in order to capture it. I noticed that the office wasn’t all about equipment. There was a plant in one corner and a couple of paintings hung on the walls. Trust me, such an aesthetic makes a lot of difference. It will surely bore me if I’m surrounded by equipment alone!

Everything was quite neatly arranged in its place, giving the place an organized feeling. Since I’m an obsessive cleaner, a sorted room instantly puts me at ease. The office space also has large windows that directly let you see the trees surrounding the area. I never really had the chance to notice that before because I would always be facing the ceiling. This time I was even able to glance through a few book titles kept in the bookshelf at the reception area. And oh yes, there were magazines at the table! With the digital era, it’s only in places like these that we see magazines. Don’t you love thumbing through a few magazines while you’re waiting? It was quite refreshing to see the whole place in a new light.

Apart from the office space, we also took a few portraits of the dental team. The staff coordinated nicely with some combination of black, white, and pink. It made for a coordinated, but not overly matching set of portraits. Go ahead and look at their pictures below!

As we’ve mentioned in other posts, we believe that every business, no matter the industry, can benefit from having photos of their work space and team. In the dental industry, it seems especially important. Since many people don’t love going to the dentist, it can be so valuable for them to see the environment they will be treated in and see the faces of the people they’ll meet there. It can take some of the fear and unknown out of going to the dentist. That is why we loved doing this dentist office photography!

If you’re looking for a dentist and like the look of these friendly faces, let us know and we can point you in the right direction 🙂
